Finance Committee

As the Director of Finance for the Rotaract Club of Beirut, the primary goal of the finance committee is to ensure the club’s financial health and sustainability. This includes budgeting, financial planning, and overseeing the proper allocation of funds to support the club’s projects and initiatives. My objectives in this role include optimizing financial resources to maximize the impact of our activities, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial reporting, and exploring new fundraising opportunities to increase our club’s ability to serve the community effectively.

Holiday Joy

In the spirit of the holiday season, the finance committee knocked on doors to provide the children of the Afel Center with the sparkle of joy. New Land Toy Store provided us with 16 toys to celebrate the holiday season with children in need and to help gift them with toys and smiles.

Movie Under the Stars

“A child without education is like a bird without wings.”

As the academic year began, many students across Lebanon were unable to purchase their books and needs to continue their education. We decided to take on the initiative with “Movie Under the Stars”, aiming to raise funds to provide underprivileged public school students with their books and stationary. We came together for a unique sunset experience at Jouroudi followed by an outdoor movie while enjoying dinner, drinks, and amazing company.

In line with September’s Rotary Theme of ‘Basic Education and Literacy,’ this event’s proceeds were aimed at supporting students with books and stationary.

Postcards Fundraiser for Mission Education

Our latest and best photos

The holidays were different with the Postcards project. People wished their beloved ones Happy Holidays by sending them a Postcard. Seven designs were available for people to choose among them. Santa Claus could also deliver the Postcard to people’s beloved ones’ doorsteps! As a community that strives to support Education, all funds collected went to Mission Education, a non-profit organization that is supporting students in need with their tuition fees.

Kids for Kids Initiative

A fundraising project which was working in hand with the Community Service project, Beyond Art. Kids were invited to express their minds on canvases which provided a unique insight on children’s minds in today’s Lebanon and the unspoken feelings they are going through and the innocence we all need to be reminded of in times like these. These paintings were exhibited at the Beyond Art exhibition in which all the proceeds went to the children most in need, the children of CCCL. All funds raised from selling these paintings went toward supporting other kids suffering from cancer. Thank you to our sponsor Creative Nas for welcoming us and the children aiming to help their fellows through the pain they are going through.

Exhibition Fundraiser for Children Cancer Center

The project was a fundraiser aimed at supporting CCCL. The magnificent success of this project is reflected in our ability in covering the induction of leukemia for children. More than 90 participants shared our eagerness in supporting this cause and attended the exhibition. Thank you to Arthaus for allowing us to bring our vision to life in their beautiful space. The event took place over three days and was attended by Rotarians and Rotaractors from across Lebanon, the district team, CCCL representatives, and distinguished guests. The exhibition included beautiful creations donated by the artists Mira El Khalil, Jean-Marc Nahas, Jad Zeitoun, Leila Jabre-Jureidini, Elie Bekhazi, Caline Farah, Tatiana Boulos, Tom Young, Rami Lazkani, Manuella Guiragossian, Jean Paul Guiragossian, Salim Azzam, Larissa Chaoul, Bassem Alwan, Tatiana Boulos, Jad Zeilouni, Mona Kenaan, Candles in Pots, Aida Cherfan Gallery, and Caramel. The night was also opened by the renowned award winning pianist and composer, Shaun Agostine, who added to the night’s magic reminding us of the magic and power of coming together for a cause we collectively believe in.
